We passed this place where vehicles were all pulled over along side the highway... there was a shallow mountain lake full of sand bars and people were wading and swimming in it. I guess it wasn't as cold as the glacial lakes we'd see later on ;) We didn't stop because we had no idea how long the drive ahead was going to take us... but I did catch some pics.
